Turnkey Connectivity and Data Decision Availability
The Industry 4.0 transition demands business leaders and facility planners be experts in designing, developing, and deploying comprehensive broadband solutions. Orion takes all of that off the plate by providing both hardware and services solutions that remedy poor broadband infrastructures, implement the latest communication and sensor technologies, maintain complicated and diverse networks of sensors and data capture devices, ensure end-user devices are properly configured, certify data processing and interpretation systems are properly configured, provide future expandability, and do it all on a cost favorable budget far below similar offerings.
We can even provide a comprehensive managed solution by eliminating the stress of deploying a viable Industry 4.0 Broadband Network while eliminating the significant capital expenditures. Our technology partnership with BlackStarTech allows customers to take full advantage of Industry 4.0 from infrastructure design and deployment, testing and optimization, data capture and interpretation, and network/device maintenance and updating for a single, simple budgetary outlay. Investing in the future now becomes a flexible operating expense, not an internal resource-heavy and potentially closed-ended technology commitment.
In short, we’ll manage everything in four comprehensive steps. And we enable the visualization of actionable data.
-
Baseline
Our Baseline process is an audit of the candidate area to host a Private LTE network. Our field engineers are deployed to conduct a spectral audit to ensure that the band that we plan to deploy in is clean of incumbents and RF noise. When we determine the optimal banding, we can declare the candidate area clean and proceed to the Forecast phase.
-
Build Plan
Using the input results from the Baseline phase results and client inputs on current operational challenges and needs to drive desired solutions, Quality of Service (QoS) and applications, we’ll produce a series of propagation models and coverage maps based on potential use cases and derive specific locations to place Private LTE access points. This turns into our “Build plan”.
-
installation
In this phase we deploy the necessary hardware and software components according to the Build plan. Once the installation is completed, we execute tests of the planned use cases at each sector and coverage area and verify that the quality of service is as expected. Once every sector has been tested, we move to the Operate Phase.
-
Operation
Upon completion of the installation phase, we manage the network’s availability and uptime as per our customer Service Level Agreements or SLA’s. We handle any required repairs or maintenance on the network for the duration of the contract. During this phase we can also test new applications on behalf of the customer.
With a combined 200+ years of expertise in RF analysis and engineering and enabling data driven decisions, Orion is uniquely positioned to enable our customers to deploy networks that enable solutions so they can focus on driving their business in ways they previously only dreamed of. This extensive experience equips us with a deep understanding of both the theoretical and practical applications of wireless communications, enabling us to evaluate network performance with precision and foresight. We design, deploy and manage networks on behalf of our clients. We enable the ability to deploy solutions while they focus on their core business. We provide data visualization for data driven decision making. Our seasoned professionals utilize cutting-edge tools and methodologies to baseline and analyze existing infrastructure, identify potential challenges, and design optimized solutions tailored to meet specific needs.

Manufacturing
Orion’s 5G speed and low latency capabilities will unleash the full potential of these emerging technologies. Smart factories and essential facilities are just some of the many examples to enable Industry 4.0. From ubiquitous IoT sensors to intelligent mobile robots, next-gen 5G wireless can upend existing manufacturing models that date back to Henry Ford and reinvent technical automation solutions, machine learning and meaningful artificial intelligence.
-
Power Generation
The utilities evolution in IoT allows the distribution of smart sensors, legacy gauges, digital workers, drones and cameras over a vast area, generating thousands of data points reporting back to a single monitoring point - a server that can use data analytics and start making recommendations and decisions based on the entire spread of all the information across the network.
-
Emergency Response
As recent events have shown, climate change has shown that communications systems not only need more layers of resiliency, but need to be brought back online with near immediacy for emergency and disaster response. We deploy portable private 5G LTE networks that are compact, easy to deploy, in any environment, in about 30 minutes.
-
Warehouse & Logistics
Swarms of IoT connected sensors generating invaluable data, enabling new levels of inventory tracking, component status and monitoring, maintenance predictability, efficiencies, and sustainability. Wireless cameras, robotic fire watches and personal safety tracking in remote locations previously not possible can provide automation and enhance safety protocols.
